Customers for Practice Management Services Ltd.’s See20/20 web-based management system see profits soar.

The first customers to install See20/20, the UK’s first web-based ophthalmic management system from practice management software specialist, Practice Management Services Ltd., are experiencing a substantial increase in bottom line profitability.

One of the first customers for See20/20 is Duncan and Todd who operate a chain of 23 branches between Dundee and Nairn in the north east of Scotland. “See20/20 has been the best investment we’ve ever made,” says Managing Director Frances Duncan. “In every practice we’ve seen a significant increase in profits and the business is recording a regular 9 per cent improvement in efficiency with more sight tests undertaken in the same number of days. The ability to time advertising campaigns to patient recalls has also produced incremental sales resulting in a 5 per cent improvement every month and we’re already managing more than 300,000 patient records across the whole business and have logged one million patient events.”

With the successful implementation of See20/20, Duncan and Todd is well placed to meet the expected rise in demand from new legislation coming into effect in Scotland in April 2006. “In future we will be required to carry out more supplementary eye tests and spend more time with each patient,” explains Frances Duncan. “Without See20/20, I’d be dreading the sudden upsurge, but with a single-point electronic diary and our staff allocation system, we’re more than ready for it.”
