Mr Julian Wright of Eyeworks has been using See20/20 since
2006 and states “Practice management systems had always been a cause for
extra stress and in my opinion more work! I had major issues in the past
with hardware and software and until we found See20/20 we never had a system
which was as straightforward and simple to use as this. I’m not a computer
expert; I do not enjoy maintaining a network and integrating different
computers into the system when required. I run an optical practice; we
examine eyes and dispense spectacles and contact lenses to a very high
standard. Our aim is to concentrate on what we do best, which is patient
care and if we happen to make profit along the way, well that makes it even
more enjoyable.
After trying a number of different systems I was more and
more exasperated and frustrated with the technical jargon and complex set up
issues. Then after a meeting with Paul Houston at See 20/20 I realised that
I could basically outsource my computer system and let someone else manage
and maintain it and most importantly back everything up.
The peace of mind
knowing that everything is backed-up and stored in a secure environment is
very re-assuring, especially after losing everything with our previous
system (especially when we thought we were backing-up, but nothing was
recording!) The support we receive is great, the guys from See 20/20 are on
hand at any time and are more than happy to talk me through my problem
simply and effectively. Where necessary they even access my system, I leave
them to it and 10mins or so later everything is done for me.
See 20/20 is not only great for me but all the staff find
it very user friendly, not over complex but very comprehensive. The diary is
very simple but massively effective especially where running numerous
clinics and juggling two practices, it’s great. The text reminders, although
very simple in principle, have made a massive difference to the number of
patients failing to attend. The recalls do exactly what I need them to do
and offer huge amounts of flexibility both in terms of marketing campaigns
and allowing me to fully utilise emails to reduce my recall costs.
Overall I have been most impressed with the spectacle
dispensing and EPOS. The ease at which I can validate all frames and lenses
and personalise catalogues is great. Massive amounts of time have been saved
but perhaps more importantly the average dispense has increased due to the
wider range of lenses and additional extras available to all my staff.
The reception staff love the EPOS till and wouldn’t be
without it. The quick point of entry for all products with or without the
use of the barcodes and the end of day takings reports makes the job much
easier. I personally favour the VAT management and KPI Reporting, as does my
accountant!
I would not hesitate to recommend See 20/20 to any
optician looking for a simple solution to a very complex array of problems.
Don’t try and run your own IT system, don’t just muddle along with something
that really doesn’t work for you. Get proper advice and an expert opinion
and then let the experts themselves sort everything out. All I would say is
make the most of the training they give you and support when needed. And
then reap the benefits of a more streamlined practice management system
without the additional headache of running your own computer department!”
